Toi toi toi to the company opening Carmen tonight at the @canadianopera! It was a pleasure bringing new life to our production which we last did in 2016, and represents my first large-scale opera since the COVID hit. I wish I could be there to witness the sound of 2000 people in a theatre again!
It’s been tough keeping a lid on this, but the news is out! At last I can share that I’m the Lighting Designer for latest Disney Animation Studios project @disneyimmersive, produced with @lhimmersive, @cocolab.mx, and Creative Director @davidkorins. You’ll be totally surrounded by music and images from your favourite Disney animated films, and even see pieces of history pulled right from the Disney Animation archives. This is going to be unbelievable!

Over the past 9 months, I've been able to snag some very clever designers to help me tackle the massive workload required to open 13 Immersive Van Gogh venues, an immersive magic show, an opera, and a musical. I'm so grateful for their ideas, meticulousness, and diligence while we brought all of these projects to life. Check them out!
Just got back from an amazing week designing at the Nike World Headquarters in Portland. It was all super top secret so I can't share any photos right now, but I got to work with a great team of people. Before I left #NewYork a few weeks ago, I left an Easter egg in the programming. Last night the crew activated it. 400’ of Pride along the East River! Happy Pride from @goghnyc and me!
By far the largest surface I’ve ever lit! David Korins Design @davidkorins created a 400’ graphic that faces the #EastRiver and #Brooklyn. The lighting cycles from UV to Cool White every 2 mins all night, which makes the sunflowers bloom!
